Sometimes the easiest and most obvious are the ones i often times miss. Reins of the Golden King is a perfect example of this. All i had to do was walk over to the guild vendor and purchase it with some gold, yet i managed to completely forget it existed. Thankfully i created an alt the other day that needed some intellect heirloom gear i hadn't purchased yet. Scrolling through the vendor list made me facepalm. I have a feeling this won't be the last time either.

Reins of the Golden King

Damn you for existing transmogrification. You've ruining my poor inventory and only getting worse. My current bank is packed to the gills with so much junk that i don't want to toss, as well as follower upgrades and armor tokens. It's a disaster zone that's not going to get fixed any time soon. I suppose i could get some temporary relief by upgrading some of my bag sizes but that won't fix anything long term. If anything, that'll just give me more reasons to hoard more stuff. A never ending cycle.

World of Warcraft Bags

The answer should have been Void Storage. Well, that didn't really work out as well as i had hoped either. Allowing for only two tabs is borderline criminal for any collector of transmogs. Both of mine are obviously filled to the brim with a bunch more items just sitting in my actual bags. I have nowhere to put them anymore! Tossing anything is out of the question. That's not something i could do.

Off topic but, i would love some sort of Void Storage addon that would allow me to sort my sets in separate tabs so i could organize everything. Something similar to what some of the bag addons do.

No one tell Blizzard they could probably put extra Void Storage tabs in a cash shop because that would just kill me. I'd have to buy them all and them some. I could just imagine ten tabs of storage goodness waiting for me to fill them up. Knowing myself, i'm sure that wouldn't take very long.

I'm going to chalk this one up to being a dummy. A few weeks ago when i finished off the Klaxxi reputation grind for my tabard, i completely forgot about the mount that comes with it as well. When i was done face palming, i ran over and picked up my Reins of the Amber Scorpion from the npc. I can't say i particularly like this mount or if i'll actually ever use it, but it brings me one step closer. Welcome mount #110.

Reins of the Amber Scorpion
Pinch me!

I normally have absolutely terrible luck when it comes to opening salvage crates. I never get anything worthwhile out of them other than follower armor/weapon upgrades. I must have opened thousands of those suckers by now across my four characters with not much to show. My normal routine is to speed click through them so i can vendor all the junk and move along my way. I honestly stopped paying attention to this process altogether. My bad luck is legendary when it comes to RNG in MMO's.

Well that finally changed for the better. I received my first piece of actual epic loot from a crate. What's even nicer is that i can actually use it as an upgrade, let alone for transmog purposes later down the road. After my initial amusement, i began thinking about something i would have never thought about before. Do i keep it and use it or do i sell it and pay for my next months subscription?

Granted the reason i never thought about this option before is that it didn't exist until recently. Well not legally i suppose. I always had the option to do this through underground means, but it was never something i ever considered. Real money trade just isn't my cup of tea. It defeats the purpose of the game for me. So what changed? The option to do so legally i suppose.

Then i started thinking if this is something i want to do this once or whether i'll always be keeping this in mind for any future BoE's. I have no issue trading gold for tokens as I've already done for this upcoming month. My worry is that this option will somehow affect my choices moving forward in a negative way. I don't want it to and i certainly won't allow it to, but it still concerns me a bit.

Blackrock Bulwark
New Shiny

The item in question is the Blackrock Bulwark. It's perfect for my Protection Warrior's tanking transmog set. I can also use it as an actual upgrade, which again is another positive. The issue is of course that i never play this spec so i feel it would be wasted sitting in my bag taking up space. The going rate on my server for this is 22-25k, which is also the going rate for the token. I'm not exactly swimming in gold since i'm still relatively new to the game, but i'm also not in dire need of any as well. Still, who doesn't like free game time right

Bulwark of Azzinoth
Old Yucky

My opposition to selling it is the fact that i love collecting transmogs. It's half the game for me at this point, when i'm not raiding or farming mounts. I also already have the Bulwark of Azzinoth as my main shield transmog. It's basically a lower res version of the new shield and the go to shield for every damn warrior in the game. While it is pretty much the same model, it's definitely less visually appealing than the new one. I, at least, notice the huge difference right away. To sell, or not to sell, that is the question. Its is a pickle. Hopefully it doesn't start a trend for me.

The Lorewalkers Reputation

Had i known the reputation grind for The Lorewalkers was essentially just flying around Pandaria and clicking on stuff, i'd have finished this a long time ago. I'd been was putting this off for a while since i assumed i'd have to be grinding dailies once again, which i despise. Credit to my buddy Laz for straightening me out and getting me on my way. Once in a while you fake knowing what you're doing quite well.

Mount number 109 is the Disc of the Red Flying Cloud. It's going right on my bar as my main mount for a while. I'm a sucker for mounts that look proper whether on ground or in the air. This one definitely fits that criteria quite nicely. It reminds me a bit of my mount in EQ2.

Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher

Since the release of Blackrock Foundry, I've taken a bit of a hiatus from mount farming. So as i was skimming through my achievements tab last night before raid, i noticed i was one task short of completing Glory of the Icecrown Raider (10 player). I'm not sure how i left this undone for so long but, once i saw it, i had to get it completed asap. Not a bad five minutes spent at all. Welcome to my stable Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher.

Only 142 mounts to go! Ugh...

World of Warcraft Tier 10 Warrior

The moment i decided to level a warrior was the moment i knew exactly which set i wanted for my transmog. It was tier 10 all the way and there really was no alternative. Everything about this tier screams Warrior to me, from the horned helmet to the boar head shoulders. It has rage emanating from every nook and cranny. The set just looks damn good. I actually managed to get the full set before i even dinged 100, which actually happened rather recently. The tabard, on the other hand, took some reputation grinding to complete.

Fury set:

World of Warcraft Tier 10 Warrior

Now, i told myself i would never be like every other Warrior and go with the all too cliche choice for my shield transmog. I constantly shake my head at every damn Warrior for using the Bulwark because every one of them do in fact use it. They all look look like clones of one another! So what did i decide to use to buck the trend? Don't judge me.

Bulwark of Azzinoth

Protection set:

Finishing up the Black Rock Foundry portion of my legendary ring quest opened up the quest for a legendary follower. Of course it had to be an Orc. It's always a damn Orc isn't it? Oh well i suppose. Garona can sit in the corner somewhere and think about what she's done. She now becomes my 34'th follower completely maxed out at level 675 and can join the crew holding down my lovely garrison. I say "lovely" as sarcastically as i possibly can. I'll expand on that at another time!

Orcs? In my Garrison?!

World of Warcraft Death Knight Transmog

Another week and another Death Knight transmog. I typically bounce back and forth between numerous plate sets but this one has been my go to for some time now. While this set screams "Frost", i do not play that spec for PVE so i use this as my Unholy set. It would be amazing if this set existed in green as that would fit Unholy perfectly, but since it does not, this will have to do for now. For future updates, i'm probably going to replace the tabard with one that matches the set a bit better. Here's the item list for anyone curious.
World of Warcraft Death Knight Transmog

Oh man oh man. I've been so busy with the current raid tier that I've been slacking tremendously on my posting and on the blog overall. I'm not sure what kind of nut jobs keep up with my adventures but there seems to be a decent amount judging by my statistics. Time to get back to it.

This time we're off to visit Brackenspore. The boss that all Hunters love and hate in equal parts. I'm indifferent towards the mushroom king but that's mostly because i don't have to deal with flame throwers or any other mechanic other than stand there and pew pew. I will say that this encounter was a royal pain in the butt in pick up groups though. The entire raid having to rely on two people to do the main mechanic properly always tends to end poorly with random players. I'm glad we have three great Hunters in our group.

Reminder: Put your talents on your action bar before the pull.

My warrior now joins my death knight, shaman, and hunter on the level 100 list. I took a bit of a detour and started fresh this time instead of finishing off my mage or warlock which are still stuck at 90. They'll probably stay there a while since i'm finding it difficult to get any enjoyment out of them right now. This of course skews my class balance heavily in favor of melee three to one. With Blackrock Foundry and especially Blackhand being so melee unfriendly, perhaps this wasn't wise. I'll make it work though.

World of Warcraft Fury Warrior

I'm currently playing Fury and loving it. Sure it has some horrible RNG when nothing procs thanks to the low crit level currently available, but it's still much smoother play wise than my DK. Only having to worry about one resource instead of two is another aspect i'm quite enjoying. I seriously despise the rune system and all of its clunkiness. Of course the best part of Fury is being able to dual wield 2-handers like a boss. I mean, how awesome is that? In the immortal words of Nigel Tufnel - "how much more black could this be? and the answer is none, none more black". A new gearing up journey begins.

The Butcher

My money is on Bill Cutting, but then he's a psychopath and you always bet on them in a fight. This is probably my least favorite encounter in all of WoW, mostly due to the static nature of it. This is the gear check boss that tests your raids damage and healing and not much else. Sure there's a tiny semblance of a mechanic for a few people to worry about, but as a DPS it's quite mundane. Come down to the Five-Points again, Mr. Butcher, and you'll be dispatched by mine own hand.

Kargath Bladefist

It's about a month late but here's my Heroic Kargath Bladefist kill. We in the guild like to call bosses by different names since the ones Blizzard seem to come up with recently feel like jumbled up messes. This one is obviously obvious, obviously. While i'm typically not selected to go up into the stands, i did manage to sneak up there at least once towards the end just to pad the meters like any silly DPS would. Sometimes i also like to give the tiger pits a brief visit as well, but not this time.

I've been on a bit of a hiatus due to my video card finally giving out on me. Three years is a long time and it served me well during that time, so i wasn't really surprised it finally gave out. Unfortunately it made it impossible to grab and sort of in game footage or screenshots of any quality. While i do have a bit of a backlog of kill videos from finishing up Heroic Highmaul, i have nothing new from Blackrock Foundry. I'll be playing catch-up for a bit but it should be fine.

The real surprise came when i checked up on my Raptr play times after neglecting it for a while. I knew it was going to happen at some point, and it finally did. WoW is now my number one played game, eclipsing the mistake that i like to call Aion. I'm sort of glad i bumped that horrid game off my top spot but also shocked at the game that did it. I never intended to be playing this game for this long at this time. Funny how things sometimes work out.

For my third level 100 i decided to transfer my Hunter over to Stormrage. I also decided to change it up a bit so i went from Blood Elf female to Human male. I had no real reason for doing so other than it just feeling right at the time. Blizzard sure knows how to milk me out of my money with the ridiculous cost of all my transfers and faction changes. First world problems i suppose.

World of Warcraft Hunter

The aspect i was looking forward to the most upon reaching cap was the Lone Wolf talent. I've always been a fan of bow classes but have always hating anything having to do with pets. I essentially turned my hunter into an archer and i couldn't be happier. No longer do i have to deal with pathing issues or random trains created if i forget to dismiss my pet before jumping off ledges. While i still use a pet for soloing purposes, it's glorious not having to bother with one in instances or raids. Sorry fellas, you've been stabled for a while.

Goodbye Orc and hello Dwarf. My transition from Horde to Alliance continued next with my Shaman. I'm not normally one for small races but, out of all the options that could play Shaman, this was by far my favorite. I'd be lying if i said it didn't have a little to do with the recent Hobbit films, but Dwarves have certainly grown on me. No pun intended there. Maybe. I may be small but i pack a wallop.

Dwarf Enhancement Shaman

Shortly after making the switch, i managed to also finish off my transmog set. I swear i'm not intentionally making size jokes. I've been after this damn helm from Ulduar for five and a half months now. That coupled with the axes that dropped off of Twins from Highmaul completed my set. I may mess around and swap some illusions in and out on my weapons but i'm currently loving the two i'm using. Here's the breakdown.

Dwarf Enhancement Shaman

When my first Highmaul follower mission popped up in my garrison, i was super excited. Finally i could send my gang out on meaningful missions with pretty awesome rewards. My excitement quickly subsided when i realized that my mission required counters from a follower i had not geared up yet. That one annoying bugger i really didn't care for or had any interest in gearing of course had the counter i needed. The best i could do with what i had at the time had a 53% chance of success. What a bummer.

Highmaul Follower Mission

Thanks to a neat garrison addon that told me how long the mission would be available to me, i started gearing up the follower i needed to counter some of these baddies. I must have spent the next week doing nothing but mission after mission for armor and weapon upgrades, as well as salvage crates. By the end of the week, i still had lots of time to complete the mission but little reason to wait any longer. My completion chance capped out at 82% with all my followers and traits available.

I went for it not expecting much. After reading countless forum posts on this subject with players failing 90%+ missions, i expected to fail. I understood well enough that anything under 100% had a chance to fail but there was a genuine feeling that anything under 100% would do so for these specific missions. A sort of hidden r.n.g. factor if you will. Good to see this wasn't the case.

Highmaul Follower Mission

I was fairly pleased when my mission was a success. Once again i fell prey to the r.n.g. gods and only when i stopped caring and expecting a good outcome, did one occur. I got a nice heroic ring out of the deal which bumped my ilvl a decent amount. I'm hoping to do a better job of gearing up my followers for when another one of these missions pups up. I'm quite sure the next one that does will require another follower with traits that i don't have.
